Arizona Common Grant Application

Welcome to the latest version of the Arizona Common Grant Application -- the CGA. This form was developed by a committee of Arizona grantmakers and grants professionals to streamline the grants application process for organizations in our state. The Common Grant Application allows a grantseeker to create one master proposal around each funding need. This master proposal can then be customized for submission to various grantmakers. The Arizona Common Grant Application was first introduced in September 2001 and will be reviewed and revised annually.

If you are a grantseeker, here's all you do:

  • Visit www.ArizonaGrantmakersForum.org and click on the link to "Common Grant Application."
  • Download the Common Grant Application (either as a Word file or in PDF format).
  • Follow the tips and instructions to complete the application.
  • Communicate your fund proposal clearly and concisely to the appropriate funding sources.

Benefits include:

  • Using the same format and information to submit the same funding request to various grantmakers.
  • Skipping the paperwork hassles and spending more time on the good work of your organization.

If you are a grantmaker, here's all you do:

  • Visit and register at www.ArizonaGrantmakersForum.org.
  • Contact Marissa Theisen through the website to indicate your organization's preference for using the common grant application. Choose whether you will "require" the CGA format; "accept but do not require" the forma;, or "accept but require a letter of inquiry as a first step."
  • Give your feedback on the use of the application to the Arizona Grantmakers Forum for future revision and improvement.

Benefits include:

  • Receiving clear uniform funding applications in an easily understood and consistent format.
  • Focusing on funding issues, not on the process of proposal writing and review.
